Cooking

Cooking Tips

  1. Plan ahead. Make sure you thaw your frozen seafood in the refrigerator before cooking.

  2. Preheat your oven to 400 F.

  3. Season your halibut with salt & pepper, or other seasonings depending on your taste.

  4. Lightly oil the pan you wish to use when cooking the bass.

  5. Place the halibut in the oven and let cook for 12 to 15 minutes, or until flakey. You can test by gently piercing the filet with a fork.

  6. Remove the halibut from the oven and let sit for 3 minutes, be sure to cover with a lid in order to keep the temperature warm.

  7. After you let sit for 3 minutes, eat and enjoy!

Wine

The Perfect Pairing

There are so many kinds of fish to choose from that it can be a challenge to know what wine will work best with your favorites. Ultimately, we can separate fish into two categories: Very fishy flavors and subtler fishy flavors. When it comes to serving Halibut the perfect complimentary wine would be a glass of Pinot Gris, or another favored white wine.
