Oven Baked Tilapia with Garlic Butter

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tilapia filets
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (oregano or thyme)
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon (for serving)

Method
 

  1. To begin, preheat your oven to 400 degrees
  2. Next, place butter in a saucepan over medium heat until melted. Be careful not to burn the butter
  3. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and herbs
  4. Place the tilapia filets in a baking dish, and pour the butter mixture evenly over the top
  5. Bake the tilapia at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Check for doneness at around 10 minutes. Cooked tilapia will be opaque white and flake easily with a fork. You can also use a thermometer and confirm that the internal temperature is 145 degrees Fahrenheit
  6. Remove the cooked filets with a spatula and transfer to a serving dish. Sprinkle with fresh lemon juice and enjoy!
