Oven Baked Tilapia with Garlic Butter

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tilapia filets
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (oregano or thyme)
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon (for serving)

Instructions
 

  • To begin, preheat your oven to 400 degrees
  • Next, place butter in a saucepan over medium heat until melted. Be careful not to burn the butter
  • Once melted, remove from heat and stir in minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and herbs
  • Place the tilapia filets in a baking dish, and pour the butter mixture evenly over the top
  • Bake the tilapia at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Check for doneness at around 10 minutes. Cooked tilapia will be opaque white and flake easily with a fork. You can also use a thermometer and confirm that the internal temperature is 145 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Remove the cooked filets with a spatula and transfer to a serving dish. Sprinkle with fresh lemon juice and enjoy!
