Method
- Begin by placing a large pot on the stove over medium heat
- Add butter to the pot and let melt - being careful not to let it burn
- Once the butter is melted, add the white wine and bring to a simmer
- Next, carefully add clams and cover the pot
- Let the clams steam for 5-10 minutes. (Cook time will vary depending on the size of the clams)
- While the clams are steaming, shake the pot occasionally to allow each clam space to open up
- Once the clams have opened, remove from heat and serve
- Discard any clams that have not opened during cooking
- If desired, finish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Enjoy!
