Baked Clams

Filled with succulent clams and aromatic ingredients, this baked clams recipe beautifully combines texture and flavor for a crowd-pleasing appetizer that anyone is sure to enjoy. 

To begin making baked clams, you’ll first need to make sure your clams are cleaned and ready to cook. Additionally, you’ll need to steam the clams prior to baking. Each of these steps is outlined in our 3 Ways to Cook Clams guide here.  

After following the steps to clean and steam clams, you are ready to bake them! 

Have the following ingredients on hand: 

  • 1 lb. Clams (steamed) 
  • 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs 
  • 2 Tbsp. Of melted butter 
  • 1 clove of garlic (chopped) 
  • 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges (for serving) 
  • Fresh parsley (for serving) 

To prepare, follow the steps below: 

  1. Begin by splitting your clams shells, keeping one half with the steamed clam and discarding the other. 
  2. Next, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While the oven is heating, prepare your stuffing mixture. 
  3. In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, melted butter, chopped garlic, and cheese. Once the ingredients are well mixed, spoon the filling onto each clam with a tablespoon. 
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown. 
  5. Serve with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Enjoy!
